4 03 2009

recordMydesktop is a free Linux application that allows you to capture audio and video data from a Linux desktop session. The program is separated in two parts; a simple command line tool that performs the basic tasks ofcapturing and encoding and an interface that exposes the program functionality in a usable way.

sudo apt-get install recordmydesktop gtk-recordmydesktop

While the rest of Linux users can get the appropriate package in their distro’s repositories or at the project homepage.
